Associate Minister to Families
Country Christian Church is prayerfully seeking a Christ‑centered, relational, and visionary young married man to lead and serve as our Family Minister. Putting down roots and grow in a small rural farming community. Someone who understands and desires longevity in ministry, to reaffirm, restore, and fight the spiritual battle for God’s design of the family. A man who can laugh at himself and have fun. Able to preach and teach, rightly handling God’s word. A man who has a high view of God, the absolute authority and reliability of His Word, committed to personal holiness and able to submit to spiritual authority of church eldership.
This role is vital to our mission of making disciples across generations by equipping families to grow in Christ together. We believe God designed the church and the family to work hand‑in‑hand, and we are looking for someone who shares that conviction and can help our congregation live it out with joy and purpose.
About the Ministry
The Family Ministry exists to strengthen the spiritual foundation of our church by investing in three key groups:
Young People – Children, students, and young adults who are learning what it means to follow Jesus.
Parents – The primary disciple‑makers in the home, especially fathers who are called to lead with love and faithfulness.
Mature Adults – Seasoned believers who model Christlike character and willingness to disciple the next generation.
Our desire is to cultivate a multi‑generational culture of discipleship rooted in Scripture, relationship, and everyday faithfulness.
Primary Responsibilities
Equip and encourage parents as they lead their families in faith, providing resources and support for discipleship at home.
Lead and oversee discipleship pathways for children, youth, young adults, that provide for the primary discipleship in the home.
Shepherd the spiritual growth of students through weekly gatherings, mentoring relationships, biblical teaching, and student leadership.
Engage mature adults in mentoring and intergenerational ministry opportunities.
Recruit, train, and care for volunteers who serve in family and youth ministries.
Partner with and oversee the Children’s Ministry Director to ensure a unified approach to discipleship.
Collaborate with church leadership and participate in staff meetings, planning, and church‑wide events.
Qualifications Required
A growing, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ.
Commitment to Restoration Movement theology and values.
Ability to teach Scripture clearly and faithfully.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in ministry, biblical studies, or a related field.
Experience in youth, children, or family ministry.
Training in discipleship or family ministry.
Experience working with volunteers and multi‑age groups.
Personal Characteristics

Warm, relational, and approachable with a shepherd’s heart.
Organized, dependable, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Accountability
The Family Ministry Director serves under the guidance of the elders and in partnership with the senior minister, working in alignment with the mission and doctrine of Country Christian Church.
